Supersized Deck Boat: Hurricane SunDeck 3200

An impressive new flagship from deckboat specialist Hurricane maintains its open bow dayboat DNA while adding offshore-capable cabin cruiser capabilities.

Hurricane Boats has long been synonymous with reliable and comfortable deckboats, but you’ve never seen one like the SunDeck 3200. Think of the 3200 as a supersized 32-foot deckboat – with a 10-foot, 6-inch beam, hard top above and cabin below, tricked out with 32-inch TV, microwave, refrigerator, enclosed wet head, and convertible table seating/daybed accommodations. Hurricane calls it a “yacht-certified outboard motor deckboat,” and we can attest the 3200 looks and feels larger than its length.

Standout Features

  • Cabin with 32-inch TV, microwave, Dometic refrigerator, enclosed head
  • Joystick docking
  • SeaKeeper 2 stabilization system

There’s ample comfortable seating in the open bow (a distinctive deckboat feature) but the boat gets more yachty as you head aft. Protected by a wraparound windshield and integrated hardtop with sunroof, the expansive helm features dual MFDs and controls for lighting, audio, and boat systems.
Just behind the helm station sits the “galley entertainment center,” complete with a 30-quart cooler, pressurized sink, optional grill, and 4.6-cubic-foot refrigerator tucked behind the helm seat. With a microwave and two refrigerators (one in the cabin, one in the cockpit), meals or refreshments are readily at hand.

An electric 6-foot telescoping SureShade power shade keeps the sun at bay from the aft dining table and bench seating with multiposition backrest that manually folds to lay flat and converts into a sun pad. And the power shade is rated to run extended up to 35 mph.
The comfort continues below with 6 feet of headroom and an enclosed head in the cabin with 30-gallon freshwater system, sink, electric flush toilet with 23-gallon wastewater tank, and hot water shower. A bow nook with seating and a table converts into a daybed.

Rated for a maximum 1,000 horsepower with twin engines, the 3200 tops out at about 55 miles per hour, while a 248-gallon fuel tank provides multiday range. A deep, full-beam swim platform leaves plenty of room around the twin engines. Big boat options include joystick control, generator, and Seakeeper 2 gyrostabilizer.
