The BoatUS alerts texting program is on these U.S. mobile carriers.

BoatUS has a program where you can receive text alerts on your mobile device. All text alerts are specific to your policy and/or towing and Membership account. You choose whether to participate or not. It is completely up to you.

Yes, you must sign-up to receive mobile text alerts from BoatUS.

This action is to ensure that the correct mobile phone number is receiving the alerts, and that we get your consent to start sending you account related alerts.

You will receive account related notifications and alerts such as notifications about your upcoming payment, a change being made on your account etc. At this time our texting service does not include promotional material.

The message frequency will vary depending on the activity on your Insurance policy and/or Towing and Membership account. You can stop receiving text alerts at any time by sending STOP, END, QUIT, CANCEL, or UNSUBSCRIBE to 45316.

BoatUS does not charge for this service. However, message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier. By providing your consent to participate in this program, you approve any such charges from your mobile carrier. Charges for text messages may appear on your mobile phone bill or be deducted from your prepaid balance.

Text alerts will come from short code 45316.

To stop receiving text alerts, text STOP, END, QUIT, CANCEL, or UNSUBSCRIBE to 45316. Following your request to opt out, you will receive one final message from BoatUS confirming that you have been removed from the subscription service.

Our BoatUS text alert program will work provided that: (1) your phone has the ability to send and receive text messages (2) your mobile device uses one of these U.S. mobile carriers and (3) your settings allow messages from and to short code numbers. You may also want to contact your mobile provider or service plan to make sure your mobile device is text message enabled.

This is usually caused by the settings on your phone or the operating system. Due to the amount of variance with phone models, it can be difficult to trouble shoot the process for each phone, so please make sure for Droid devices you have premium SMS settings turned or set to allow and for iPhone devices you have the latest operating system update.

There could be several reasons you are not receiving our text alerts. They include, but are not limited to, the following:

1. You have text messaging enabled on your mobile device, but the use of "short codes" may be blocked by your mobile carrier, or per your request. In order to receive BoatUS text alerts, you must have short codes enabled. "Short codes" are special telephone numbers (usually five to six digits long) that are used to send text messages to/from mobile phones. They're often used for text messaging services. Please contact your mobile carrier to make sure that you are allowed the use of short codes.
2. Your mobile account is with a carrier that we do not currently support. We support the U.S. mobile carriers found here.
3. Your mobile account has been suspended or deactivated. Please contact your mobile carrier to verify the status of your account.
4. You've switched mobile carriers or you've changed your phone number. When this occurs, we automatically un-enroll your mobile device from the BoatUS text alerts program.
5. You do not meet the criteria for receiving the text alerts as described above. For example, you pay your bill more than five days before it is due. Therefore, we have no reason to send you a bill due reminder text message alert five days before your bill due date.
