OnDeck consists of a cellular/Wi-Fi base station, which can integrate seamlessly with the Garmin Marine Network and NMEA2000 systems; sensors that can detect thigs like pump activity, cabin or hatch entry, and battery charge levels; and up to five relay switches that allow you to trigger a switch remotely. The user interface takes place on your phone via the ActiveCaptain app, which can be set to automatically alert you via text message if the boat leaves its geofenced location, bilge pumps show unusual activity, or if other parameters you set up are broken. NMEA2000-compatible sensors ranging from engine data to water depth can interface with the system, and vessel data is stored in the cloud for up to 30 days.
