What do you do at BoatUS Marine Insurance?
I supervise and manage both policy service reps and underwriters at our satellite locations in Virginia and California. In addition to personnel responsibilities I am also involved in the systems operations to manage workflow.
How does your job impact our product or policyholders?
My team is the first line of contact which may be our customer’s
first impression of BoatUS and our insurance program. From the
moment we answer the phone, our goal is to provide a first-class
customer experience.
Do you own a boat? If so, what kind and where do you use
it?
I don’t own a boat, but spent many weekends waterskiing and
wakeboarding on my parents’ 17’ Glastron and 24’ Cruisers
on Raystown Lake in PA while growing up. Now I just tag along
with my friends who own boats on the Chesapeake Bay!
Most unusual phone call, claim or assignment while at BoatUS?
I’ve been to boat shows all over the country representing BoatUS and have
spoken with countless of our members. It is hard to pick one particular
story but I’ll tell you that we have a very interesting and fun group of
members!
How
many years have you been with BoatUS?
12 years.
Your
favorite vacation spot?
I travel all over, so it’s hard to pick just one. Some of
the places I’ve been to include Alaska, Ireland, Hawaii,
Italy, Bali, the Caribbean and Spain. I can’t really compare
one to another, but I like visiting new places and rarely go back
to the same place twice.
 Tell
us something that nobody knows about you.
I’m somewhat of an adventurer – a certified scuba diver
who’s also been sky-diving! And yes, those are grizzly bears behind me in the photo.
